CONTACT ← Older posts Suspect Arrested in Burglary at Puffster Shop After Owner Gives Chase 3-23-2020 Posted on March 23, 2020 by Dover Police Department Incident Number: 50-20-9368 Date/Time: Monday, March 23rd, 2020 at approximately 1:22AM Location: Puffster, 115 West Loockerman Street, Dover, DE Officer Releasing Information: M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer Narrative: The Dover Police Department arrested Jeffrey Hayman (38) on Monday morning for a burglary at the Puffster shop on West Loockerman Street. At approximately 1:22AM, officers received a call that Hayman had broken the front window to the business with a brick and had fled with items. Officers were also advised that the owner was chasing the suspect on foot. Arriving officers located Hayman and took him into custody, also recovering the stolen merchandise. Hayman was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond on the following charges: -Burglary 3rd Degree -Theft Under $1,500 -Criminal Mischief over $1,500 Jeffrey Hayman Millsboro, DE Posted in NEWS Update: ARREST MADE in Burglary at Law Office on The Green Posted on March 23, 2020 by Dover Police Department UPDATE: The Dover Police Department arrested Rasoul Hanner in connection with the burglary at the Law Office of Ligouri and Morris. Dover Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit processed several items from the burglary and were able to obtain fingerprints that came back to Hanner. Hanner was contacted by police on March 22nd and taken into custody without incident. Hanner was released on a $1,300 unsecured bond on the following charges: -Burglary 3rd Degree -Possession of Burglar Tools -Theft -Criminal Mischief Rasoul Hanner Dover, DE Incident Number: 50-20-8203 Date/Time: Between 5:00PM on 3/10/2020 and 6:50AM on 3/11/2020 Location: Law Office of Liguori and Morris, 46 The Green, Dover, DE Officer Releasing Information: M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Law Office of Liguori and Morris, located at 46 The Green. Between 5:00PM on March 10th and 6:50AM on March 11th, an unknown suspect entered the business by forcing a side door open. Once inside, the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash and loose change, a bottle of liquor, and other items. The suspect also caused damage to a piece of office equipment. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Posted on March 20, 2020 by Dover Police Department UPDATE: On Thursday, March 19th, the operator of the Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Trike, Ronald Hohrein (59), was pronounced deceased as a result of the major injuries he suffered in the March 14th accident in Dover. The investigation is still ongoing at this time, with no charges filed at this time. Incident Number: 50-20-8633 Date/Time: Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at 3:14PM Location: N. DuPont Highway, north of White Oak Road Officer Releasing Information: M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 3:14PM in the area of North DuPont Highway between White Oak Road and Centre Drive. A 2013 Dodge Charge and a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban were traveling south on S. DuPont Highway in that area when both vehicles attempted to enter the center lane of travel and collided. As a result of this collision, the Suburban lost control and crossed the concrete median into the northbound lanes of N. DuPont Highway. When the Suburban entered the northbound lanes, it struck a 2017 Harley Davidson Freewheeler Trike. The driver of the trike was ejected upon impact. The Suburban then struck a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. The male driver of the trike sustained serious injuries and was transported to Kent General Hospital and then airlifted to Christiana Hospital where he remains in critical condition. The two occupants of the Chevrolet Equinox were transported to Kent General Hospital for treatment of minor, non-life threatening injuries. The occupants of the Suburban and the Charger were not injured in this incident. The incident remains under investigation. Any determination on potential charges will be made as the investigation progresses. The names of those involved are being withheld at this time. Posted in NEWS Elderly Man Robbed in Parking Lot of The Depot Posted on March 20, 2020 by Dover Police Department Incident Number: 50-20-9117 Date/Time: Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at 11:42AM Location: Parking Lot of The Depot, 595 Forrest Street, Dover, DE Officer Releasing Information: M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery of an 87-year-old man that occurred on Thursday. At approximately 11:42AM, officers responded to The Depot for a report of a robbery. Officer learned that a black male suspect pinned the 87-year-old man against his vehicle and forcibly removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim. No injuries were reported. Between 5:15PM on March 18th and 9:00AM on March 19th, an unknown suspect forced entry into the business through a rear door. Once inside, the suspect removed several hair clippers and fled the area.
